MARTL Summer Summit 2018 Resources

Before you arrive:

Please be thinking individually, and hopefully with your team (if applicable) that is coming from your school or district to design what project you will want to work on during the Summit – remember, the bulk of the time will be “open facilitated work time,” with lots of support on hand (See: Human Resources section below), but you’ll make the most of the 2 days when you arrive with a plan.

Please take a few minutes and use this form once as a team — http://bit.ly/MARTLprojectIDEAS — to tell us what your team (or YOU if you are coming as an individual) would like to work on during our time together. In this way, presenters and resources will be best prepared to provide the support you’ll need.

Human Resources

We know that the foundational component of professional learning is the people – the participants who have come to grow their capabilities and understanding, and the folks who are coming to share their knowledge and respond directly to the interests and questions of the the participants. Below are some of the folks who will be joining us at Bowdoin this summer as human resources:

Apple Professional Learning (APL) Specialists
The Maine APL Team will be with us again – tremendous resources for this event, tremendous resources to bring to your school!

Apple Distinguished Educators (ADEs)

MARTLs, Principals/Administrators, and Buddies
Everyone in attendance is a resource – you know something that could inspire another participant, or you have a question that someone can help you with. And yes – ADEs and Apple Professional Development Specialists are coming to the event looking forward to learning as well as facilitating learning!

Maine Dept. of Education
Members of the Learning Through Technology Team will be with us to help make connections between participants and to other resources across Maine and beyond.
