Our students at the Presque Isle Middle School love being able to share new projects with their peers.

This past school year, with the addition of a green screen wall in my library, the students took to running a morning announcements program with enthusiasm! They brainstormed often, tried new ideas, and figured out what worked and what didn’t, ultimately producing a video each week that included announcements, school news, and even a few riddles for their peers!

This coming year, after last year’s morning news program grew leaps and bounds, the program will be growing once more.  The goal for this year is to run a full student news program, that students and parents can watch from anywhere, covering school news, sports, and anything else the AV club can dream up! This will give the students the opportunity to truly try their hands at being a reporter, conducting interviews, recording snippets of games and activities, and working together to produce a news show for everyone to see.
